A Sculpted Sanctuary in the Heart of the Jungle
Hidden among Ubud’s emerald rice terraces, this Japanese-Brutalist villa is a symphony of concrete, glass, and nature. Designed as a statement of stillness and strength, it redefines tropical living through simplicity and precision.
From the moment you step through its gates, the experience feels meditative. The architecture commands attention with its bold lines and raw materials, yet there’s an unexpected softness—light filtering through glass, reflections dancing on polished stone, and the gentle rustle of bamboo from the surrounding gardens. The result is a perfect equilibrium between power and peace.
Inside, the open-plan living area unfolds beneath soaring ceilings, blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior. Floor-to-ceiling glass reveals panoramic views of the jungle and pool, while muted tones, sculpted ceramics, and natural stone surfaces create a sense of understated luxury. The kitchen is designed for both form and function, its monolithic island a sculptural centerpiece where gatherings feel effortless.
Each of the five en-suite bedrooms is a private retreat, where sliding screens open onto gardens and soft light pours across textured walls. Every space has been curated for quiet reflection, a blend of Japanese restraint and tropical warmth that feels both grounding and transcendent.
Outside, the villa’s serenity deepens. The pool mirrors the changing sky, bordered by tropical foliage and tranquil stone walkways. A reflective pond anchors the landscape, while hidden garden nooks invite meditation or moonlit conversation. Every corner whispers the language of balance.
Set on approximately 1,400 square metres of land with around 270 square metres of indoor living and close to 490 square metres of total usable space, the property offers a leasehold tenure until 2052, extendable to 2057 and guaranteed until 2072.
This villa is more than a residence—it’s a dialogue between art and environment, a place where every element has purpose and presence. For those who value architecture that evokes emotion and serenity, this is a rare and timeless offering in the heart of Ubud.

With 25 years running a successful communications agency in Cardiff, I built a career on crafting compelling stories — but real estate was always the one that called to me.
A Welsh speaker and proud Francophile, I studied Economics at the University of Toulouse, and France never really left my blood. When Brexit and Covid reshaped the world in ways none of us anticipated, I chose to see the disruption as an invitation — and made the move I'd always dreamed of. I'm now a proud French resident, based on the Côte d'Azur.
My passion for property is anything but theoretical. I've undertaken multiple renovation projects in the UK, owned a property in Paris, and worked as an agent for luxury real estate agencies in both Paris and London. That hands-on experience — combined with a deep love for this region — naturally drew my focus to luxury sales and rentals in the South of France.
My journey in France began in October 2020, arriving as a long-term guest at Cinq & Sept in Roujan. By 2022, that journey had found its shape: I co-founded Polarius International Real Estate alongside my business partner Lee Michael Horan. I now live in sunny Nice.
Beyond property, I'm a committed LGBTIQA+ advocate — and I'm particularly proud to have organised the first-ever Pride event in Llantwit Major, the coastal town in Wales where my story began.
