Candi Dasa is a seaside town in eastern Bali on the edge of a fresh water lagoon. This fishing village was founded on the site in the 12th century and before the modern name of Candi Dasa was adopted it was known as both Teluk Kehen ("Bay of Fire") The temple near the lagoon has a statue of the fertility goddess Hariti surrounded by a group of children, and cilidasa translates from Balinese as "ten children", so many Balinese who want to have children go on pilgrimage to this place.
This is an area well known for snorkelling and diving activities as well as providing an easy access to visit the nearby islands of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida.

A Welsh speaker and proud Francophile, I studied Economics at the University of Toulouse, and France never really left my blood. When Brexit and Covid reshaped the world in ways none of us anticipated, I chose to see the disruption as an invitation — and made the move I'd always dreamed of. My passion for property is anything but theoretical. I've undertaken multiple renovation projects in the UK, owned a property in Paris, and worked as an agent for luxury real estate agencies in both Paris and London. That hands-on experience — combined with a deep love for this region — naturally drew my focus to luxury sales and rentals in the South of France.
My journey in France began in October 2020, arriving as a long-term guest at Cinq & Sept in Roujan. By 2022, that journey had found its shape: I co-founded Polarius International Real Estate alongside my business partner Lee Michael Horan. I now live in sunny Nice.
Beyond property, I'm a committed LGBTIQA+ advocate — and I'm particularly proud to have organised the first-ever Pride event in Llantwit Major, the coastal town in Wales where my story began.
